The latest Illusive Newsletter was delivered by tiny birds to your email in-boxes yesterday. If you did not receive it, we either don't have your email address, or we have it typed incorrectly. Come by the shop or drop me a line here or via email to correct that ASAP.

You can also sign up for the Newsletter (which always includes a new coupon) HERE.

This latest issue discusses our new WoW tournaments, the awesome status of Friday Night Magic the Gathering, info about author John Layman signing the newest Image comic "Chew" on July 1, and a few other interesting things, like who will be the new "manager" of Illusive, come November. (No, Steve isn't leaving)

Ok, go eat some breakfast, plot what comics you need to add to your list for tomorrow and then email us an updated list or drop by the shop for a visit with Steve and/or I today.

I COMPLETELY forgot to mention we have our own Facebook Page now.

On a much less bright note, we are disheartened to report that Illusive Comics was burgled late Sunday night/early Monday morning. Thieves broke in and stole nearly all our t-shirts, our computer and a few other things.

Teh Tim is rather upset because his personal Magic decks were stolen.

We are all feeling rather angry about such a violation to our beloved Store, but we know it wasn't possibly any Regular or friend of ours due to the extremely odd circumstances of the theft.

Security is already getting beefed up so it will be harder to have such a thing happen again.

We were only closed on Monday to clean up the shop and get back on track. We hope to see you today for New Comic Book Day or Saturday for the Store's 2- Year Anniversary. Everything* will be 20% off!!

(*Everything except new releases, which includes what is in your box, if you are a Subscriber).

I'm happy to announce that I finally realized I'd neglected to ever open a CafePress Shop.

Go forth and order your dog a cool Illusive Comics shirt and then bring him/her by to play with Maisy the Store Dog.

D'you think the maternity shirts will fit me?

More awesome photos of the Storm Troopers and Illusive Comics.

I have another Newsletter to get out to you all. But I won't worry about getting it out this weekend since most of you should be at BayCon and Fanime.

I'll be attending Fanime tomorrow, so feel free to hunt me down for a HELLO!

(Any news or info bits you want in the Newsletter, please let me know now)

Hey Everybody!

Thanks for coming by the shop today. You all helped make it a really great day. I'll count up the numbers when my brain is less exhausted, but we had at least 250 people come by. We gave away pretty much all the comics (if anything is left it's just Green Lantern's Blackest Night) and the sale was very popular.

Please give me your thoughts on today. What did you like? What should we improve upon for next year? Tell me while it's fresh in your minds.

I think it's time for my staff and I to sleep now...

I'm not quite sure which is a bigger event to a Magic player: the fact the Free Comic Book Day is tomorrow or that Alara Reborn was released yesterday.

You tell me.

Anywho, we've got a whole bunch of Alara Reborn in stock now. C'mon by and watch Tim and I frantically get ready for Free Comic Book Day tomorrow.

We'll be open from 10am-6pm and here's the details of the day:
- 40 different comics are available. Some are All Ages, some are for Teens +. They are separated out and watched over by staff, so you don't have to worry about your children picking up something inappropriate.
- HUGE store sale on Variant Comics (20% off), Back Issues (40% off), Manga, Trades and Graphic Novels (20-50% off)
- 501st Garrison, Rebel Legion and Browncoats will be in attendence with their amazing costumes. YES you can take you photo with them! Yes you can ask them to explain plot points. NO you may not dis Clone Wars in the store.

Any questions? Call Illusive Comics at 408-985-7481.

Our lost shipment seems to be trying to find it's way to us. Some comics arrived today. Far from all, but it's some... New Avengers are at least in. Regardless, the rest will be ready for you tomorrow.

Weirdest shipping week I've ever had.

Hello Party People,

Due to a major shipping SNAFU, our new comics won't be in until Thursday this week. The shipments for several stores in the area got misplaced and thus-- we ask you to be patient and just come in a day later.

To make up for this major inconvenience, our Back Issues and all Trade Paperbacks and Graphic Novels will all be 20% off.

Then read about Top Cow's Free Comic Book Promotion, that we're a part of for April. (This issue is scheduled to ship April 15th).

Read the article, 'cause they quote your favorite comic book store owner.

Looking for something to do today? Well, you can head down to Illusive Comics and enjoy our sale on Overstock, Variant Cover comics, Kids comics and a whole bunch of other stuff.

And, if you play WoW the trading card game, c'mon down to join the new group that is going to have a Casual Play game today.

Not a bad way to spend the day. Far better than cleaning house, paying bills or doing laundry.

We have been approved as a WoW, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon tournament store. Now we just need some judges for these games. We need a WoW judge ASAP. Any of you one or know one? Or know the game enough to pass the test and want to be one for us?

Spread the word.

It's the Best Day Of The Week. And for those who are happily anticipating the Watchmen movie, I am happy to tell you that those who saw it at WonderCon reported that it was simply spectacular. They were all very pleased.

WonderCon was mucho funo, by the way. I met Dave Gibbons at the Cartoon Art Museum, which has a Watchmen display right now. I *highly* recommend you get up to the City to see it while it's still on display.

Today is gonna be a dandy day for comics. Diamond is finally starting to straighten out the mess of the move of their warehouse and we got in a BUNCH of stuff we've been waiting for, including Watchmen Figurines.

And for those of you who are Trek fans...we have a small furry infestation in the store. It's trills and purrs. Come see.
